  • Developed an online system for a restaurant chain having the facilities to store menu appetizers/snacks, entrees, beverages, deserts etc along with prices.
  • Allowed users to login and place online order with pickup and delivery options based upon location keeping in mind some locations may not have delivery options
  • Gratuity, tax, delivery fee, tip etc. are displayed before the final price and order(s) submission

  • Created predictive models, from 5000+ data points, containing 147 total attributes (125 predictive, 4 non-predictive, 18 potential goals) of predicting violent crime
  • Machine learning (ML) techniques used Tree, Pruned, Bagging, Random Forest on Full, Lasso, Ranked, PCA|Full, PCA|Lasso, PCA|Ranked data set towards the predictive modeling of violent crime 13 Machine learning models were ranked for accuracy using the mean square errors
  • Worked with team of 4 engineers towards the development of mathematical and statistical models
  • The top three predictors from the 13 models are consistent among the 13 models - validated based on model interpretability

Point of Care Health Informatics for Proactive Epileptic Seizure Alert system

  • Led a team of 6 engineers towards building supervised and unsupervised ML models to detect, predict and notify the patient before the seizure occurs and text the location of the patient to their loved ones upon predicting a seizure.
  • Developed big data machine learning algorithms using MATLAB and R to analyse electroencephalography (EEG) signals using real-time seizure data from patients
  • Converted raw EEG signals using filters (Fourier, Hilbert) and applied machine learning algorithms to training and test data sets (SVM and Random Forest) to acquire our Seizure Prediction Model
  • An effective detection algorithm with over 90 percent accuracy predicts up to an hour before a seizure occurs

Apart from being a engineer, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. In the winter, I am an avid gym-goer and novice judoka. During the warmer months here in Texas, I enjoy biking, ultimate frisbee, and running.

When forced indoors, I follow a number of sci-fi and fantasy genre movies and television shows, I am an aspiring golfer, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technology advancements in the front-end web development world.
